S/SWH Series Steam Fired Cooling
S/SWH Series chillers utilize steam energy to generate cooling. Steam is available from industrial processes, heat recovery of cogeneration plants, biomass combustion or as exhaust steam from steam turbines. While cooling the water in the evaporator, steam fired chillers can be used as a steam condenser. Our chillers are supplied with 2-port steam control valve to reduce the heat ingress in the chiller at part cooling loads and steam trap on the condensate outlet circuit. The control is based on a PID logic to maximize the Coefficient of Performance (COP) at full and part cooling loads. The user can easily operate the chiller through a built-in coloured touch-screen and monitor it through communication protocol options: ModBus RTU, Profibus or TCP/IP. Our services include the development and manufacturing of customized units for non-conventional applications such as ATEX for installation in areas with explosion risk or the use of superheated or subcooled steam.
