It all started in 2004 when Jinsang Ryu, a mechanical engineer with decades of experience in the development and design of absorption chillers and heat transfer technologies for well known multinationals established World Energy Co. Ltd. in the South Korean city of Gunpo. More qualified engineers joined the staff immediately after and the company started to provide R&D services for the development of new products and patents in addition to manufacturing both standard and special customized products.
World Energy's dedication in meeting any customer's requirement with products customization and developing products not yet available in the market, helped its expansion: from a small family-run company with domestic supplies to a multinational organization with equipment installed worldwide.
World Energy Absorption Chillers Europe Ltd. was established in 2012 as the European subsidiary of the company to manage business development, sales and technical support in Europe, Mediterranean territories and Latin America.
World Energy Absorption Chillers are installed in all continents for a vast variety of applications such as Pharmaceutical, Aviation, Chemical and Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Energy, Semiconductors, Automotive, Tyre industry, Marine, Food Industry, Institutional to mention a few.
From its manufacturing works and engineering offices in Mungyeong-si, South Korea with ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified quality control - differently from typical absorption chillers manufacturers - World Energy develops and manufacturers not only standard absorption chillers and heat pumps, but also customized equipment based on customer's most stringent requirements, standards and applications such as industrial mission critical operations, marine chillers for installation aboard ships, chillers to be installed in areas with explosion risk (explosive atmospheres). Our works have one of the world's most advanced and largest Test Rigs for absorption chillers with the possibility to test chillers up to 4500 kW cooling capacity.
World Energy is also known as provider of R&D services for the development of new absorption technology having supplied newly developed and customized absorption cooling technologies for the Energy, Marine and District Heating industries.
